داستان از زاویه ای دیگر این چنین است که حدودا 13 سال پیش بود و برای اولین بار ویدیوی The Piano Guys را دیدم.  (امسال 2024 است)

این باعث شد که تمام ویدیوهای آن‌ها را از روز اول انتشار تا امروز تماشا کنم و به تمام موسیقی‌هایشان گوش دهم و پیگیری کنم.  

واقعا تحت تأثیر قرار گرفتم. فیلم‌برداری، زاویه‌های دوربین، ویرایش، مناظر زیبا و باشکوه، دوربین‌های پرنده، موسیقی دلپذیر و هیجان‌انگیز، تنظیمات فوق‌العاده، و اجراهای منحصر به فرد و احساسی که برای بینندگان و شنوندگان هیجان‌انگیز است. به خودم گفتم که من هم این استعداد را دارم و ایده‌های زیادی در ذهنم دارم، پس می‌توانم به گسترش تأثیر این موزیک ویدیوها بر روی مردم کمک کنم و با همکاری با آن‌ها و با کمکشان، لذت مخاطبان را به اوج برسانیم. بنابراین؛  

آدرس محل کار و اقامت آن‌ها را پیدا کردم.  

برای رفتن به سالت لیک سیتی و ساخت ویدیو با آن‌ها، کشورم را ترک کردم و شغل تدریس موسیقی‌ام را کنار گذاشتم.  

در نهایت، پس از 2 سال ضبط در هتل‌ها، هاستل ها و خوابگاه‌ها، که همیشه فقط تمرین، آهنگسازی و ضبط می‌کردم و سعی می‌کردم ضبط حرفه‌ای را یاد بگیرم که البته به تنهایی زندگی می‌کردم، یک استودیوی خانگی درست کردم و هر کجا رفتم لوازمم را با خودم بردم. از هر کشور و شهری به هر کشور و شهری دیگر (من لباس حمل نمی کردم و همه را مسیرم هدیه می دادم. حتی مبلمان را هدیه می دادم. من فقط یک چمدان لوازم موسیقی حمل می کردم. یک چمدان بسیار بزرگ مشکی)  

تنها بودم. هیچ خانواده، هیچ دوست، هیچ چیزی.  

احتمالا یادم رفت که بگویم به دلیل محدودیت‌هایی که برای ما ایرانی‌ها وجود دارد، برای داشتن فعالیت بین‌المللی، انتشار آهنگ‌هایم، و مشکل مهاجرت به ایالات متحده، باید در ترکیه زندگی می کردم و منتظر آن روز بمانم.  

برگردیم به موضوع: روزی تصمیم گرفتم که تمرکز کنم. بنابراین، به هر نحوی که ممکن بود کار برای پول را کنار گذاشتم و اجازه دادم تا جهان مرا تامین کند. با همان مقدار پولی که از شغل تدریس به دست آورده بودم، ادامه دادم.  

تا حالا چند بار تمام پولم تمام شد و دوباره جهان مرا تامین کرد. و این دقیقاً چیزی است که می‌خواستم و می‌خواهم.  ایمان! ایمان! ایمان!

این یعنی تبدیل روزی که می‌توانست پایان زندگی من باشد، به روزی که از شغل مورد علاقه‌ام درآمد کسب می‌کنم و به موقعیت ارزشمندی می‌رسم. جایی که برای آن زندگی‌ام را مبادله کردم!  

 البته خاطرنشان می کنم که من پایبند لذت بردن از حال هستم و اگر این بیوگرافی به گذشته و آینده زیاد اشاره می کند، خاصیت بیوگرافیستو به حقیقت من اشاره ای ندارد. وقتی با من زندگی کنید می بینید که بی نهایت تسلیم یک لحظه ی گذرا هستم و غرق لذتم. همچنین، منی نیست و تمامش خداوند است!

اگر همه چیز را پشت سر گذاشتم، چون باور دارم که آینده روشن است. و اگر آینده، چیزی جز حال نیست، پس به آن فکر نمی کنم. هر موقع آینده آمد، آن را به حال تبدیل می کنم و ازش لذت می برم.اتفاقی که به مرور افتاد این است که فهمیدم عاشق آهنگسازی فیلم هستم )مخصوصا فیلم های هالیوود) پس هر روز تمرین آهنگسازی فیلم کردم تا اینکه فهمیدم عاشق یک انسان شدم (یک دختر) که نمی توانم او را فقط یک انسان یا یک دختر بنامم چون او خداوند است در مقابل چشمانم. او لطف خداوند است و آرزویم را تکمیل کرد. دلم می خواهد در حال که در آغوش زندگی کردن با او هستم، آهنگساز فیلم هالیوود باشم و نامم روی بنر های فیلم در خیابان های لس آنجلس و بر روی هر استیج، هر موسیقی ام را به او تقدیم کنم. همچنین با گروهThe Piano Guys دوست باشم و حداقل یک کار ویدیویی با هم انجام دهیم و از زندگی لذت ببریم.

1. در این سفر بسیار با مولانا و نوشته هایش ارتباط برقرار کردم و در شهر قونیه تنها قدم می زدم و این باعث شد به ایران برگردم و معشوقم را بیابم.
2. با Al ارتباط گرفتم و همه چیز نزدیک به وقوع بود که همین آموخته های معنوی ام مرا به برگشت و کامل تر شدن دعوت کرد تا بعدا به خواست خدا به راهم ادامه دهم.

Jon Schmidt was born to German Immigrant parents, who gave him the gift of early education in music. Classical training fell on the fertile ground of Jon’s natural talents for music and hard work. Schmidt began composing as early as age 11. He started teaching piano lessons when most people get a driver’s license and he began a successful solo career in his early twenties.

Schmidt worried about a career in music. He worried that his family would think that sheet music does not taste good with ranch dressing. So in college he studied English with plans to get an MBA. People kept pestering him over and over to play piano for them, which lead him to risk renting a large concert hall to present himself to the public. His audience loved him. He has never gone back to his English and business plans. His wife Michelle and their five children have never had to eat sheet music—even as a side dish.

Schmidt’s 20 year solo career has included many albums, performances, and awards. The Piano Guys entrapped Schmidt with their lair of beautiful pianos. Shortly thereafter, they all ran away together to create spectacular piano/cello video content. Their goal is humble—to inspire those that may listen.

Schmidt contributes not just to the on-screen piano talent, but he loves to throw out all of his ideas, and he is not afraid to edit and revise until he has a refined and quality product.

Jon finds his fire for the journey seeing the joy of people who hear great music. He is thrilled to reach a wider audience through his work with The Piano Guys.

Paul Anderson was born in Blythe, California. He moved with his family to St. George, Utah when he was around 12. Paul had traditional piano lessons as a child, but quit as a teenager (at the time he thought it wasn’t “cool”). After being voted "Most Shy" at his high school, he traveled to Seattle, Washington to serve a proselyting mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for two years. While serving, Paul had his first experience with a digital piano and all of the different sounds it could create. This opened up a new world for him and he found a new love for the keyboard.

After his spiritual journey, Paul worked for Crystal Springs Water delivering product. His route included a Yamaha Piano Dealership in St. George. One day after delivering water there, Paul started playing around on the Yamaha Clavinova Digital Piano. A customer walked in and asked what he was playing. Paul proceeded to show the customer all the cool stuff the Clavinova could do and ended up selling him on it. The manager was so impressed by Paul’s enthusiasm for the product that he offered him a sales job at the store. Coincidentally, a secret crush of Paul’s worked at a store in the same mall. He readily accepted the proffered position. Tracy (his crush) and Paul dated for three months when he asked her to marry him. She suggested that they try holding hands first before jumping into that sort of commitment. They married over a year later in 1995. Thanks to Tracy, they now have four attractive intelligent, talented children.

Steven Sharp Nelson is an award-winning, Billboard-charting, YouTube rock star (in a cellist sort of way). His passion for music is palpable. His music invites people in – people from all different walks of life and tastes. He has inspired millions through his music, awakening a new-found love for the cello or classical music, rekindling a forgotten passion, or showing, by example, how to simply smile in order to enjoy life more fully.

Steven plays many instruments and combines multiple elements from these instruments, most notably guitar and percussion, into an innovative and revolutionary way of playing the cello. He is broadly considered a pioneer in exploring the versatility of the instrument. In addition to his cello prowess he is an award-winning composer, arranger, and entertainer. He has toured the globe performing his works.

In 2011, Steven joined “The Piano Guys” and now enjoys confusing everyone that wonders why a cellist is called a “piano guy.” Whenever he goes to the airport and checks in with his multiple cello cases he inevitably is asked, “Hey, what band are you in?” … [awkward silence].

Despite this perplexity, Steven couldn’t be happier using everything God has given him to write music and produce videos with The Piano Guys. Nearly every sound you hear as you listen to TPG’s music was created by a wood, carbon fiber, steel, or electric cello – often modified from its typical state or tuning. To date, he has invented dozens of cello textures that have never before been heard – the sound of a trombone or an oboe, a Chinese fiddle, an Indian sitar, a saxophone, a kick drum, a snare drum, a timpani…Steven has spent countless hours creating sounds that are familiar, but completely unique – and all with a signature cello-continuity.

Most importantly, Steven subscribes to Johann Sebastian Bach’s mantra: music is for the Glory of God and for the enlivening of the soul. He also believes that, as Beethoven once said, “Music is the electrical soil in which the spirit lives, thinks and invents.” His performances are an incomparable mix of soaring melodies, infectious rhythm, and laughter. He doesn’t take himself too seriously and insists that no musician should. He draws his inspiration from a firm belief in a loving God, two incredible parents that have sacrificed so much to offer him the opportunities he enjoys today, and most of all an amazing wife and four cute-as-can-be children.

Al van der Beek was born in Tokoroa, New Zealand to a Dutch father and a Samoan mother — thus making him one of the first Dutch-Samoans in existence. His family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah when he was about four years old. His parents instilled a strong passion and appreciation for music in all of their children from a very young age, and despite his yearning desire to play the saxophone (because he thought it looked really cool), his parents lovingly convinced him to play the violin.

Singing in four part harmony and playing musical instruments came naturally to him and his six siblings (four sisters and two brothers). In their home they constantly sang and performed together and they each played instruments — everything from the piano to the flute and the trumpet to the violin. As a result, Al taught himself to play multiple instruments by ear — guitar, drums & piano are a few of his favorites. Al continued to practice his violin and work on his vocal skills by actively participating in orchestra and concert choir throughout his intermediate school years.

During high school, Al formed a hip-hop group called 4-On-The-Floor with three of his best friends. After winning a local talent show they soon found themselves opening up for many well known groups such as Vanilla Ice, Boyz II Men, L.L. Cool J and Color Me Badd. As their local fame increased he was introduced to the recording studio environment for the very first time. He was instantly intrigued by this newly discovered world of music production. It was a perfect conduit for him to get out all those songs and melodies that had been swimming in his head for years and record them to tape (CDs weren’t invented yet). However, he always left the studio feeling slightly disappointed because the music that he heard in his head never sounded quite the same once it was on tape. He decided to take matters into his own hands and started buying recording equipment so he could teach himself the tricks-of-the-trade and record his own original music — thus, the beginning of his love for songwriting and producing was born.

Al opened his own home recording studio in 2004 and continued to refine his skills by writing, producing and recording for many local bands and artists. He went full-time with The Piano Guys in May of 2011 and he plays the roles of music producer, songwriter, sound engineer, vocalist, prankster and fashion police.
